Job summary
HP Hood LLC in Maine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair plant machinery, electrical systems, and related equipment. The role operates on a swing shift with two alternating 5:00 am - 1:30 pm / 11:00 am - 7:30 pm blocks, requiring reliability and safety focus.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing pumps, boilers, steam and water systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, and performing light welding.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
- Experience with welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration and PLC troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and computer skills; good communication.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plant machinery and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair pumps, boilers, steam and water systems.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems and fluid systems.
- Perform light welding, grinding, and cutting.
- Follow safety guidelines and GMP procedures.
- Develop preventative maintenance procedures.
- Oversee wastewater treatment operations.
- Work with minimal supervision; some overtime/weekend/holiday work.
