Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a self-driven Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair plant machinery, electrical systems, and facilities. The role requires welding, boiler, refrigeration, and PLC troubleshooting experience, with a swing shift pattern and occasional overtime or weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong mechanical experience and aptitude.
• Experience with welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, machinery repair and PLC troubleshooting.
• Analytical and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, structures, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, boilers, steam and water systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fluid systems.
• Operate with safety guidelines and PPE; perform light welding, grinding and cutting.
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures and support wastewater treatment operations.
• Work with little supervision; some overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
