Job summary

HP Hood in the United States is seeking a maintenance technician to install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in a food & beverage plant. The role follows a swing shift: two weeks 5:00 am–1:30 pm and two weeks 11:00 am–7:30 pm.

Qualified applicants will have a High School Diploma or GED and strong mechanical experience, welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, and PLC troubleshooting skills, plus good analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical experience and aptitude.
• Experience with welding, electrical, boilers, refrigeration and PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair plant machinery and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot pumps, boilers, steam, water, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform light welding, grinding and cutting; follow safety guidelines.
• Work with minimal supervision and possibly overtime/weekend/holiday work.
• Contribute to preventative maintenance procedures and wastewater treatment operations.
