Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic A to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems within the Administrative Services Division.

Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED with related trade certification, 3–5 years of commercial experience, and strong skills in blueprint reading and system troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED and appropriate licensing and certification.
• Trade School graduate and/or apprenticeship preferred.
• Certification in either HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
• Three to Five (3–5) years working in a commercial setting (HVAC mechanic, Electrician, Plumber). Includes experience with boilers, hot water heaters, generators, welding, and plumbing/HVAC systems.

Responsabilités

• Assist and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Make repairs and alterations to facilities.
• Remove or assist in removing snow.
• Receive, store, distribute, and move furniture, materials and supplies.
• Repair, install and maintain other equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
