Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned, unplanned, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to keep the waste processing line running safely and efficiently.

You will prioritize tasks, diagnose malfunctions, and document actions in the plant's maintenance system, while complying with safety standards. Prior experience in heavy manufacturing and ability to work a rotating shift are required; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent breakdowns.
• Investigate breakdowns and line stoppages using root-cause analysis with teams.
• Prioritize work to minimize downtime and complete paperwork in CMMS.
• Open/close work orders and manage parts in the plant maintenance program.
• Repair/maintain machinery including inspection, assembly, and replacement.
• Observe equipment to diagnose malfunctions and evaluate performance.
• Review maintenance reports to plan activities.
• Inspect machines for conformance with safety and operating standards.

About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages collaborating with various teams and stakeholders
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company's computerized maintenance documentation program
• Utilize Reworld's defined maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.
• Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule
