Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) to maintain and optimize equipment in our industrial disposal process. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze issues, and document activities in the plant's CMMS system, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years in a heavy industrial environment, with the ability to work a rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
• Use root-cause analysis to investigate line stoppages with cross-functional teams.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and complete documentation in CMMS.
• Open/close work orders and manage spare parts per maintenance program.
• Inspect and repair machinery, diagnose malfunctions with mechanical methods.
• Review maintenance data to plan activities and ensure safety compliance.

About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld’s industrial disposal process.

This position is 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

Position Responsibilities:

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages collaborating with various teams and stakeholders
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program
• Utilize Reworld’s defined maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.
• Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 33.22 - 44.18 USD per hour
