Job summary

WestRock is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for its Dayton, NJ facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment to keep operations safe and productive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will install, start up, and shut down equipment per safety procedures and OSHA requirements, advise operators on safe procedures, maintain maintenance records, perform preventive maintenance, and

Qualifications

• Trade school certification or equivalent.
• Safety-conscious with high attention to detail.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and diagnostic instruments.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime.
• Experience with PLC programming.
• High precision with tight tolerances.
• Ability to climb overhead structures and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment.
• Plans and performs work with knowledge of electrical codes and materials.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment per safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Advises operators on operating procedures for safe equipment use.
• Maintains maintenance records.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Assists and trains maintenance staff.
• Performs other duties as required.
