Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in New Jersey to maintain and repair plant equipment for safe, reliable operations and optimal OEE. The role involves troubleshooting packaging and related systems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting line changeovers.

The position requires 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance, a High School Diploma, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Overtime may be required, with a robust benefits package after probation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, preferably chemical/paint.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Expertise in packaging equipment, plumbing, and pipefitting; electrical work is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex packaging and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, and packaging lines.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance for safety and reliability.
• Change over line equipment for different label, container, and packaging sizes.
• Aim to improve OEE on filling lines via Pareto analysis and Lean tools to reduce downtime.
• Complete daily and shift cleanup tasks and support small capital projects.
