Job summary

Gibraltar in Lancaster, PA is seeking a skilled Maintenance A to plan, layout and perform diversified installation, maintenance and repair operations to keep plant machinery and equipment in peak condition.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, ability to read blueprints and operate hand/power tools, and includes a 3rd shift 10:30pm–7:00am. Join a team focused on reliability and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 5+ years maintenance experience
• Trade or vocational school preferred
• 5+ years maintenance mechanic experience
• Experience fabricating, repairing, replacing or installing shafts, gears, guards and power transmission components

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and plant equipment
• Read and interpret drawings for shaft and part replacements
• Work from drawings, manuals and instructions; perform troubleshooting
• Use precision instruments and perform dismantling, repair and reassembly of units
• Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting and general machining with close tolerances
• Rebuild and maintain primary plant equipment including roll forming, stamping and molding equipment
• Periodically inspect equipment for preventative maintenance
• Detect faults and diagnose malfunctions and provide remedies
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used
