The role emphasizes proactive preventive maintenance, safe operation, accurate recordkeeping, and collaboration with teams across the facility to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with Dematic/Rapistan and Hytrol conveying systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for warehouse equipment including conveyors, racking, lighting, forklifts, and fire protection systems.
• Maintain logs of preventive and breakdown maintenance on conveyors, forklifts, and fire protection systems.
• Complete tasks safely and on time, and coordinate with management and other departments.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical breakdowns on forklifts.
• Ensure forklifts are safe and operating.
• Adhere to safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible to ensure that all powered industrial equipment and mechanical equipment is well maintained and operational to enhance productivity, maintain safety standards, and minimize down time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for all warehouse and office equipment, ensuring proper operating conditions. Equipment includes conveyors, racking, lighting, security, forklifts, material handling equipment, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Maintain logs of all preventive and breakdown maintenance performed on conveyors, forklifts and fire protection systems.
• Perform light janitorial and other duties as assigned.
• Complete tasks assigned by Management. Ensure that all tasks are completed in a safe, timely and correct manner.
• Maintain positive open lines of communication with all management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
• Responsible to diagnose any mechanical, electrical, or any other breakdown or failure of a forklift.
• Ensure forklifts are in safe and in working standard.
• Adhere to established federal/state/company safety procedures.
• Perform various repairs upon general instructions from the department manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

This is a Sunday - Thursday, typically working 7:00PM-3:30AM in 8-hour shifts, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school education, vocational or technical training or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience working in industrial environment.
• Experience with Dematic/Rapistan and Hytrol conveying systems is required.
