Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a DSC Maintenance Technician for our Fredericksburg Distribution Center. The role requires self-direction and proven knowledge of electrical systems installation and repair, with duties spanning HVAC, robotics, and equipment maintenance.

Schedule: 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am with $1.00/hour shift differential. Bonus eligibility applies per company plans. Candidates should have manufacturing/distribution maintenance experience and PLC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Two (2) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• One (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts.
• Three (3) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
• Formal training in or one (1) year of experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment including forklifts, hi-lifts, and order pickers, wrappers, vacu-hoists, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned.
• Carpentry, electrical maintenance, pipefitting, and plumbing tasks as needed.
• Maintenance of DSC systems including fire and security systems (including security gates).
• Maintenance on dock doors and dock plates.
• Monitor and maintain building and grounds (including snow removal).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have two (2) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
• Must have one (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Have at least three (3) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
• Have an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license
• Have formal training in or one (1) year of work experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
