Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production and facility equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will manage maintenance staff, coordinate with internal departments, and drive safety, quality, and cost objectives as part of our Operational Excellence program.

The role requires leadership, strong maintenance background, and the ability to implement policies while fostering a collaborative

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, distribution, operations, or completion of a Sherwin-Williams Engineering development program.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance operations.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of tools and equipment.
  • Monitor quality and productivity to meet service and cost goals.
  • Plan daily work schedules coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Lead training, performance management, and corrective action for staff.
  • Conduct regular workforce meetings to enhance Operational Excellence.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.

Job Description

This position is an essential part of Sherwin’s manufacturing team. They supervise the installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support production requirements and goals. They provide direct management of maintenance employees and leads and are accountable for fostering a team environment through effective and appropriate communication. They are responsible for maintaining all standards in accordance with safety, quality, inventory, and productivity levels as well as providing leadership to meet facility goals in the 5 focus areas of Operational Excellence including Safety, Quality, People, Service and Cost.

Additional Information

Rotating Schedule 6:00pm - 6:00am, Alternate Weekends

10% Travel

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access to confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.   • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have an associate’s degree or higher in Maintenance, Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or Computer Science
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
  • Have at least three (3) years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Have prior work experience using timekeeping and/or maintenance management systems
