MetalX LLC in Auburn, Indiana seeks a Maintenance Technician to support shredding operations. The role starts on 1st shift, with future weekend schedule; expected hours are 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, ensuring safety and documentation compliance.

Candidates need 3–5 years in maintenance and a HS diploma or GED, with trade training preferred. Work involves conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding/grinding.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED; trade school training preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical fundamentals and industrial troubleshooting.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Strong communication and teamwork with maintenance, production and leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Work independently with limited supervision while meeting performance expectations.
• Maintain and update maintenance documentation and work logs.
• Inspect and service conveyors, hydraulics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform welding, grinding and weld setup as needed.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery for maintenance and repair.
• Assist with housekeeping and safe operation within the work area.
• Handle additional duties as assigned by supervision.
