Join to apply for the Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift role at Ed Miniat LLC.

Position Description:

Perform duties to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, building facilities, and grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, HVAC, boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, blenders, processing, and packaging equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Ensure operation of plant machinery utilizing electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment.
2. Complete preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
3. Perform duties in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
4. Control downtime by completing repairs and part replacements promptly.
5. Fabricate repair parts by machining items to specifications as necessary.
6. Provide mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering questions, and responding to requests.
7. Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops and updating skills.
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
9. Contribute to team efforts by performing other duties as needed.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: Not Applicable.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Effective communication skills with all management and staff levels.
3. Minimum of three to five years of related maintenance experience.
4. Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, VFDs, and PLCs.
5. Proficient troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
6. Valid state driver's license.
7. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations (preferred).
2. Bilingual ability (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift over 40 pounds daily.
• Tolerance for extreme temperatures.
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools regularly.
• Occasional climbing, crouching, kneeling, and crawling to service equipment.

This is a union position with benefits after a 90-day probation period, including medical, vision, dental, and one week of paid time off after one year.
