Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30PM – 11:00PM

Rome is rich in history and culture, with landmarks that document its heritage. The city has a population of approximately 36,332 (2019 census) and serves as a regional hub for medical care and education. Educational institutions include private Berry College and Shorter University, as well as public Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Highlands College. Rome is strategically located near major highways connecting Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.

The role you’ll contribute:

Performs a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, servicing, and overhauls of hospital equipment and facilities.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs skilled and general facilities maintenance, including plumbing, mechanical, painting, carpentry, basic electrical work, and office/furniture moves; operates hand and power tools. Interacts with chillers, boilers, Pevco Tube systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation. Handles nurse call repairs and performs PMs and repairs on pumps, motors, belts, exhaust fans, and other equipment.
• Works on assigned projects, making rational decisions based on experience and safety considerations for patient care. Duties vary according to job assignment and skills.
• Completes work orders via computer, identifying materials and equipment needs.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, security, and mechanical systems, and repairs building interior and exterior components as directed.
• Collaborates effectively with maintenance team members and ancillary staff.
• Adheres to safety protocols in all tasks.
• Cleans up after each task as necessary.
• Logs maintenance and preventative activities via Peoplesoft.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 5 years of experience in the maintenance field
