Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30PM – 11:00PM

Rome’s historical markers help document the city’s history and give insight into its culturally rich heritage. Developed as a regional center for medical care and education. The area has several private and public educational institutions, including Berry College, Shorter University, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, and Georgia Highlands College. It is the largest city near the center of the triangle formed by Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.

The role you’ll contribute:

Performs a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance, as well as inspections, servicing, and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the hospital.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs skilled and general facilities maintenance tasks, including regulatory, plumbing, mechanical, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work; operates hand and power tools. Interacts with chillers, boilers, and Pevco Tube systems.
• Handles pneumatic controls and equipment. Assesses building automation systems. Performs nurse call repairs, PMs, and repairs on pumps, motors, belts, exhaust fans, and other systems.
• Works on assigned projects, making rational decisions based on experience and safety considerations for patient care. Tasks vary according to job assignment and individual skills.
• Completes work orders via computer; identifies materials and equipment needs.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, security, and mechanical systems; repairs building interior and exterior components as directed.
• Collaborates effectively with maintenance team members and ancillary staff.
• Follows safety precautions in all tasks performed.
• Cleans up after each task as necessary.
• Logs maintenance and preventive activities via PeopleSoft.
