Job summary

Crown Uniform & Linen Service in Massachusetts seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment and facilities in safe, efficient condition. You will troubleshoot equipment failures, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with installing new machinery and fabricating parts as needed.

The role is Monday–Friday with shift from 3:00 PM, requiring 1 month of training on the day shift before moving to nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with strong mechanical/electrical abilities.
• 2nd class fireman license or higher, or ability to obtain one.
• 5–7 years of mechanical experience preferred; 1–3 years minimum.

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains facility and equipment in safe and proper operating condition. The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains production equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance. In addition, he or she assists with the install of new equipment and fabricates new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, starting at 3:00 PM until the work is completed.

Training

This position requires at least one month of training on the day shift before transitioning to the night shift.

Education, Training And Experience

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
• Excellent computer & communication skills
• Strong mechanical, electrical and machine shop skills
• Must have 2nd class fireman license or higher or the ability to obtain one
• The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of mechanical experience; 1-3 years is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work in hot and cold environment; production environment
• Must be able to stand, climb, reach, walk, kneel, bend and pull for 8+ hours
• Must be able to regularly lift 50-75lbs & push and pull up to 200lbs
