Job summary

Crown Uniform & Linen Service in Brockton, MA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment in safe, top condition. The role includes troubleshooting, routine and emergency maintenance, and assisting with new equipment installations.

You should have a High School Diploma, 2nd class fireman license or higher, strong mechanical, electrical and machine shop skills, and 5–7 years of mechanical experience (1–3 years minimum). Training on day shift before night shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains facility and equipment in safe and proper operating condition. The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains production equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance. In addition, he or she assists with the install of new equipment and fabricates new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 3:00 PM until the work is completed.

Training: This position requires at least one month of training on the day shift before transitioning to the night shift.

• The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of mechanical experience; 1-3 years is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work in hot and cold environment; production environment
• Must be able to stand, climb, reach, walk, kneel, bend and pull for 8+ hours
• Must be able to regularly lift 50-75lbs & push and pull up to 200lbs
