Job summary

Calbee North America is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 for the Boardman, OR facility. The shift is Sunday through Thursday, 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM (graveyard). Responsibilities include handling work orders, PMs in Megamation, welding, and equipment troubleshooting.

Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, good communication, English literacy, and the ability to read plans and operate tools and CMMS. Safety and GMP/PPM compliance are required, with a focus on teamwork and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding processes: MIG, TIG, ARC.
• Hand and power tool proficiency.
• Lift truck operation within 30 days.
• GMP/PPM compliance and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Execute work orders and PMs in Megamation with 94% accuracy or better.
• Complete shift pass-down emails and logs.
• Operate a lift truck safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during production.
• Maintain high quality workmanship and housekeeping.

Great opportunity to work for a great company that offers, 401k match, benefits, PTO, and so much more. This is for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 position located at our facility in Boardman, OR. The schedule would be as follows:

Sunday - Thursday - 10:45PM - 7:00AM - Graveyard position

Candidate must possess the following.

• Must show mechanical aptitude.
• Must follow directions, ask questions, show interest.
• Must have a good work ethic.
• Must have good attendance.
• Must read and write English.
• Must be a clear communicator.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must know their way around a computer, outlook, word, CMMS.
• Knowledge of a wide range of hand tools.
• Knowledge of a wide range of power tools.
• Work orders and PM’s in Megamation @ 94% or better
• Complete all email pass downs per shift.
• Must have the Knowledge of a variety of welding processes. (MIG, TIG, ARC)
• Understands the flow of product though the process and know equipment by name and function.
• Can operate Lift Truck withing 30 days.
• No safety violations within the previous year.
• No LOTO violations within the previous year.
• Ability to complete all shift rounds and have an introductory understand of what the readings mean.
• Can build a tension knife.
• Unplug a cutter loop by themselves.
• Rebuild a van-mark abrasive roll.
• Ability to weld an ADR belt.
• Annual Training compliance.
• Annual PSM training compliance, SOP’s, 109’s.
• Plays an active role in the PSM RM program.
• Attending PLC training.
• Attending Refrigeration training.
• Work well with others

• Have a good foundation of the mechanical process and the equipment, Advanced hand and power tool knowledge and operation.
• Understanding of Hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, heat exchangers, power transmission.
• Good trouble shooting abilities.
• Understanding of basic electric.
• Ability to operate a handheld amp meter.
• Ability to effectively operate a scissor lift or boom lift safely.
• Ability to operate a lift truck with a high level of accuracy.
• Basic welding skills, preparation, mig, tig, arc.
• Ability to conduct an emergency welding procedure during a production run with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of the core concepts of.
• 1. Soft water system requirements.

• 3. Adding oil to liquid ammonia pumps.
• 4. Condenser readings and chemical delivery.
• 6. Air compressor operations and requirements.
• Can assemble the Urschel cutter and bring it online.
