Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is hiring Mechanical Technicians for our San Leandro, CA facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safe work practices to maximize uptime and reliability.

Candidates should have 1 year of mechanical manufacturing experience or industrial certification and may progress through various shifts. The position offers a competitive benefits package and an hourly rate in the stated BOQ

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year mechanical industrial manufacturing experience or industrial certification.
Experience performing preventative maintenance and identifying predictive maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.
Install and repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
Perform all maintenance checks and preventative maintenance safely and promptly.
Upload/download and research software, manuals for equipment pertaining to the business.
Perform tasks requiring lifting, walking, climbing, standing, pushing and pulling for long hours in a loud environment.
