Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be on site in El Segundo, CA.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable working in a professional environment, and be able to collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and management.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of facilities or maintenance experience
Flexibility to occasionally work off shifts and weekends when required
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Ability to learn CNC machinery equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Comfortable working on computers – Maximo experience
Hands-on Maintenance experience with Mechanical Systems
Hands-on experience working on CNC’s Mills, Water Jets, Paint booths, Ovens and types of Manufacturing Equipment
Machine Geometry, CNC Machine Repair and related industrial equipment, and/or Advanced Mechanical Knowledge of Production Machinery Production machine equipment
Welding experience
Hands-on experience with Generators and UPS’s
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Active, In scope DoD Secret or SCI clearance

Salary Range: $53,000 - $88,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
