Polar Seltzer is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 1st shift in Temple, TX. The role involves repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing a range of machines and equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, testing cycles, and supporting the design of maintenance programs. The technician will perform machining and welding as needed, operate lifts for maintenance projects, and ensure a safe, clean work environment while adhering to corporate safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical repair and diagnostics on industrial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and implement repairs.
• Proficiency in machining and welding as part of maintenance tasks.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and lift devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, repairing, rebuilding and diagnosing machines and equipment as directed.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform temporary or permanent repairs as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance per work orders and support program design.
• Operate and test machinery through various cycles to ensure proper function.
• Carry out machining and welding tasks to produce metal/wood components per specs.
• Operate boom lift, forklift, and platform lift as needed for maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety rules.
• Work a 10-hour day with physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs and repetitive movements.
