Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical repair and diagnostics on industrial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and implement repairs.
• Proficiency in machining and welding as part of maintenance tasks.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and lift devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, repairing, rebuilding and diagnosing machines and equipment as directed.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform temporary or permanent repairs as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance per work orders and support program design.
• Operate and test machinery through various cycles to ensure proper function.
• Carry out machining and welding tasks to produce metal/wood components per specs.
• Operate boom lift, forklift, and platform lift as needed for maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety rules.
• Work a 10-hour day with physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs and repetitive movements.

Overview:Working in accordance with verbal and written instructions and established procedure, and as assigned by the supervisor or foreman, perform a variety of duties, including: Responsibilities:

• Mechanic will assist in installing, repairing, rebuilding and diagnosing all machines and equipment as assigned by the supervisor or foreman.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties and effect repairs and adjustments, either temporary to keep machine in production, or if possible, permanently, as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment as instructed and specified on preventive maintenance work orders and assist in the design of preventative maintenance program.
• Must be able to run and test machinery through various cycles.
• Perform a wide variety of machining and welding tasks required to produce metal and wood products according to specifications.
• As needed, must be able to operate boom lift, forklift, platform lift etc. in order for various maintenance projects to be performed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
• Observe all Corporate safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Employee must be capable of working a 10 hour day
• Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Must perform heavy work, lifting from 1 lb. to 75 lbs.
• Must frequently use foot/feet for repetitive movement as in operating foot controls.
• Must frequently bend, twist, squat, climb and reach.
