Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic, 1st Shift at Tate

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks as per established PM programs, and complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and make repairs on production equipment.
- Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment.
- Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
- Assist with established preventive maintenance activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Program Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives.
- Troubleshoot PLC programs and robotics equipment.
- Use, read, and understand various precision instruments such as meters, meggers, and oscilloscopes.
- Read and understand Maintenance Work Orders.
- Mentor and train existing and new maintenance employees.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures.
- Follow policies, procedures, and work instructions, including Employee Handbook, SOPs, MOPs, JSAs, and Safety Manual.
- Be aware of and contribute to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies; report issues and unsafe conditions promptly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification or equivalent experience in the mechanical field.
- At least 4 years of maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards.
- Working knowledge of variable frequency drives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork skills and ability to interface with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to perform maintenance above ground level from 1' to 50'.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for an 8-hour shift.
- Manual dexterity to handle machinery, equipment, or parts, and work near moving parts.
