Job summary

Hallmark is seeking a Maintenance Specialist in Lawrence, KS. You will repair, maintain, and install machinery, assemble equipment, and ensure safety-driven quality improvements. You will also dismantle and reassemble machines and modify or build equipment to enhance safety and efficiency.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years of mechanical/electrical experience, and be able to lift heavy items and work safely. Basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience demonstrating mechanical and electrical ability.
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift and carry items weighing up to 50-100 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; climb, bend, or reach as needed.
• Basic computer skills.

Job description

As a Maintenance Specialist you will:

• Repair, maintain, and install machinery and equipment
• Assemble, level, and connect equipment (electrical, air, gas, water)
• Dismantle and reassemble machines as needed
• Modify or build new equipment to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Train operators and supervisors on new or updated equipment
• Work flexibly across different areas and always prioritize safety
• Perform duties in accordance with sound safety practices.

The ideal candidates is:

• Skilled in machinery repair, electrical work, and welding.
• Proficient with electronics, schematics, and ladder logic.
• Experience with lathe, milling machines, and industrial systems.
• Strong in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
• Able to read blueprints, follow safety procedures, and handle hazardous materials.

The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 3:30pm - Midnight. Shift may vary +/- 30 minutes on beginning and end of shift time.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience that successfully demonstrates mechanical and electrical ability.
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift and carry items weighing up to 50-100 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally.
• Ability to constantly stand and walk. Ability to frequently bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb, and reach at/above shoulder level.
• Ability to frequently work in awkward positions and occasionally work from ladders.
• Must have basic computer skills.

This position is located in Lawrence, Kansas. Relocation is not provided.
