Job summary

Ocean Spray is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic at the Markham Processing Plant. The role is a 12-hour shift from 4pm–4am or 4am–4pm with rotating weekends off, 36/48 hr schedule, indoors, year-round position. Candidate should grow into Electro-Mechanic or Master Mechanic within two years and be able to work without supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing equipment, reading schematics, and using CMMS for data input while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work without supervision.
• Fundamental troubleshooting and replacement of electrical components, controls and automation.
• Ability to maintain, install, rebuild and repair plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, installs, rebuilds, and repairs plant equipment.
• Make general repairs on building and supporting systems.
• Use hand and power tools to repair/replace faulty equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues with a multi-meter and replace similar components.
• Read manuals, blueprints and schematics to diagnose problems.
• Enter data into CMMS accurately and timely.
• Perform basic boiler and ammonia system maintenance.
• Fabricate parts with machining equipment; weld broken components.
• Support 5S and housekeeping; assist peers as needed.
