Description

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, pneumatic conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

1. Follow all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
2. Observe mechanical devices in operation, listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble, and may start devices to test their performance.
3. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
4. Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
5. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
6. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
7. Repair or replace defective parts and lubricate and clean parts.
8. Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
9. Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
10. Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
11. Repair electrical equipment.

Education/Certifications:

Associates Degree from a college, university, or technical school; 3+ years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
