Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for our client’s state-of-the-art metal production facility in Vonore, TN. You will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maximize machine uptime across mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing complex machinery, troubleshooting with root-cause analysis, and supporting controls with PLCs and motor drives. Strong welding and blueprint-reading skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics/blueprints.
• Solid knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and electrical codes.
• Experience repairing pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and blowers.
• Familiarity with relay logic, AC/DC drives, PLCs, and motor controls.
• Hands-on welding, cutting, hand tools, and basic workbench skills.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to quality, and computer literacy for maintenance records.

• Electrical & Controls Support: Apply knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC/SLC systems, and motor control circuits to resolve faults.
• Precision Repair: Inspect, measure, dismantle, and rebuild components with high accuracy.
• Continuous Improvement: Track maintenance data, monitor inventory, and place stock orders to minimize downtime.
• Safety First: Maintain a safe, compliant work environment following OSHA guidelines.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Experience: Hands-on background as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Electrical & Mechanical Mastery:
  • Capability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics/blueprints.
  • Solid working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and electrical codes.
