Job Description: Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Amityville, New York.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Complete checklists, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
2. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance according to schedule, including lubrication, filter replacement, oil, and coolant replacement.
3. Manage inventory of repair parts and consumables.
4. Perform cleaning duties as required.
5. Maintain housekeeping in all areas.
6. Troubleshoot and repair machine issues.
7. Maintain the tool room to support production needs.
8. Follow safety policies and work safely.
9. Communicate machine and facility issues with production leaders and management.
10. Follow company manufacturing and safety policies.
11. Strictly adhere to safety regulations during manufacturing activities to prevent mechanical hazards.
12. Respond to building alarms and take appropriate actions.
13. Troubleshoot simple process equipment and utilities.
14. Support engineering projects for equipment installation.
15. Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as required.

Physical Requirements:

Walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

Entry level; High school diploma or GED required.
