Job description

Manufacturer in Neptune, NJ, is seeking a Direct Hire Maintenance Mechanic. The company has needs on their 2nd shift.

Description

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for handling electrical and mechanical projects within our facilities, including equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.

This position runs Monday - Friday, on the following shift:

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoots and repairs various manufacturing equipment.
2. Possesses knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
3. Uses power and hand tools to perform repair and maintenance work.
4. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.
5. Installs, sets up, and tunes new injection molding machines or similar plastic molding systems; may install and maintain fixtures and facilities.
6. Services equipment through oiling, greasing, and gas addition as required.
7. Identifies and fixes potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
8. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Preferred two or more years of experience as an industrial mechanic.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and schematics.
• Skill in applying building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
