Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Taylor Mill, KY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain equipment under the Preventive Maintenance program and to diagnose, repair and proactively address mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. You will support production equipment, minimize downtime, and help keep facilities running smoothly.

Qualified applicants will have an Associate or Vocational degree in a mechanical/electrical field, 5+ years of manufacturing/maintenance

Qualifications

• Associates or Vocational degree in a mechanical or electrical field or industrial maintenance or a combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing/maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• OSHA 10 hours certified.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• PLC experience.
• Electrical experience 120 + 480 volts.
• Fanuc/CNC.
• Proven fabrication and welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment per the Preventive Maintenance program.
• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems.
• Repairs building and production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Inspects completed maintenance and documents results.
• Completes and maintains paperwork for maintenance performed.
• Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment as necessary.
• Assists in other work areas as needed and directed by the department supervisor.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, replace or repair parts to mechanical, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Train other employees.

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Shift: 1st shift = Mon-Fri, 8am to 4:30pm OR 2nd, Mon-Fri, 4pm-12:30am OR 3rd shift = Fri-Sun, 5am-5pm (working 36 hours and getting paid for 40)

Target Hourly: $26.00-32.00

Job Summary: Maintains equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance program. Diagnoses, repairs mechanical problems, and performs emergency and proactive repairs of buildings and grounds, production equipment, and machinery while minimizing down time.
