Job summary

System One is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an onsite, long-term contract in Versailles, KY. The role involves performing routine maintenance on building and production equipment, ensuring safety, and supporting plant operations with proactive upkeep.

Hours are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Compensation ranges from $25–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Technical certificates are a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical three-phase systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on building equipment including HVAC and production gear.
• Maintain facility and property to ensure optimal operation.
• Notify Manufacturing Manager about needed repairs to keep machinery running.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent fires and explosions.
• Monitor gauges and instruments to maintain operating conditions.
• Inspect work areas for leaks and equipment malfunctions.
• Conduct daily inspections of production scales and forklifts.
• Develop and update a preventative maintenance program daily.
• Support other plant areas as directed by Plant Operations Manager.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and external contacts as needed.
• Perform electrical maintenance including three-phase systems work.

Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Versailles, KY
Type: Long-Term Contract (potential for temp-to-hire)
Compensation: $25–$35/hour, based on experience
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), with some flexibility to start earlier/stay later if needed; occasional Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on all building equipment, including HVAC and production equipment
• Maintain all aspects of the facility and property
• Ensure machinery remains in good working order and notify the Manufacturing Manager of needed repairs
• Follow safety procedures to prevent fires and explosions
• Monitor gauges, flow meters, recording instruments, and products to ensure operating conditions are maintained
• Inspect work areas for leaks, equipment malfunctions, and abnormal operating conditions
• Conduct daily inspections of production scales and forklifts
• Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program and update maintenance software daily
• Support other plant areas as directed by the Plant Operations Manager
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and external contacts in person, by phone, email, or in writing
• Perform electrical maintenance, including work on three-phase systems

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to read and write
• Technical certificates are a plus
• Previous experience working in a chemical plant preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation
• Knowledge of electrical three-phase systems preferred
