Job summary

Adecco is hiring 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanics in Somersworth, NH. This full-time role runs Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with pay starting around $30/hour based on experience and a stated range of $26.00–$32.00 per hour.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, read gauges and manuals, and document maintenance activities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to read

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience maintaining or repairing industrial manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to become certified in forklift operation and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Textile manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Restart and monitor machinery following maintenance or shutdowns.
• Support production by assisting with loom operation, repairs, style changes, and product changeovers.
• Repair machine breaks and ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Read and interpret gauges, rulers, service manuals, and work instructions.
• Complete maintenance documentation and production records accurately.
• Safely move materials and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazardous material handling.
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed to support production.
