Maintenance Mechanic

Description:

Position Title: General Mechanic

Pay Rate: $38.12 - $40.72

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time – Must be flexible to work all three shifts, work 12 hours as needed, and Saturdays & Sundays as needed.

Shifts:

• 3rd Shift – 9:45 PM to 6:15 AM
• 1st Shift – 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM
• 2nd Shift – 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM

The Job You Will Perform:

• Interface with production supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensure that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition
• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks
• Make repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system
• Complete all assigned paperwork and coordinate with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data accuracy
• Other duties as assigned

The Skills You Will Bring:

• At least one year of successful mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Success in safety, attendance, and quality of work.
• Maintenance experience in corrugated manufacturing is a plus. Knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics.
• Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to cross-train in other technical areas.
• Ability to work second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to work with computer systems for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.
• Provide own tools.
