Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to working with complex systems. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an integral role in preventing breakdowns and malfunctions, and ensuring maximum productivity of our machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including malfunctions, breakdowns, and wear and tear.
• Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment longevity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, and provide reports as needed.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current on industry trends and advancements.
  
  

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical maintenance and industrial machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and machinery.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to adhere to these standards at all times.
