Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanics' primary job function is to keep Production and Packaging equipment running efficiently. A Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, repairs as needed, orders and picks up replacement parts, and handles some inside and outside building maintenance. Maintenance Mechanics are required to follow all SOPs, GMPs, and other department-specific training. To ensure product safety and quality, Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for controlling physical contaminants, properly storing personal items, and reporting suspicious people or activities to their supervisor. Maintenance Mechanics' activities are monitored and directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in a food processing plant, particularly with pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment.
• Electronics and HVAC skills are required.
• Welding experience.
• Experience with RTOs and PLCs.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various equipment mentioned above.
• Comfortable using a computer-based maintenance system.
