Job summary

HKA Enterprises seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to support the reliability and safe operation of a municipal wastewater treatment plant in Roseburg, Oregon. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance/mechanic role.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, generators, and valves.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance activities, including inspections, lubrication, oil changes, and meter readings.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
• Repair and replace components including bearings, seals, packing, pumps, motors, and valves.
• Evaluate equipment failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform routine and complex equipment repairs.
• Perform plumbing and pipe fitting tasks, including cleaning, repairing, and installing piping.
• Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, weld, and fabricate components.
• Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations staff to support uninterrupted treatment plant operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and work histories.
• Maintain organized spare-parts inventory.
• Follow established safety procedures.

Job description

The Maintenance Mechanic joins a team maintaining the reliability and safe operation of a municipal wastewater treatment plant. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots equipment failures, and completes repairs and installations. Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, and equipment

• Complete and document work orders using CMMSTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance/mechanic role
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, generators, and valves
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electro-mechanical systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Valid Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record
• Forklift experience
