Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Waste Water Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater equipment, conveyors, and packaging machinery. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, and adherence to strict safety standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment inspection, and documenting SOPs for site-specific technologies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures.
• Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends).
• Knowledge of welding (preferred).

Responsibilities

WASTE WATER MAINTENANCE TECHINICIAN

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance duties and specific tasks such as repairing conveyors, gearboxes, or hydraulic systems as assigned by the supervisor
• Preventive maintenance and repairs on the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshot machinery quickly and effectively
• Preventive maintenance and repairs to wastewater equipment, such as conveyors, gearboxes, augers, and pumps
• Complete all tasks in the safest and most efficient manner
• Be experienced and knowledgeable in high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders and air compressors. Knowledge of welding (S/S, Mig, Tig) is a plus.
• Day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on equipment
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Document and maintain "Standard Operating Procedures" for site‑specific technologies in use at the facility.
• Maintain compliance with discharge permit
• Performing routine inspections, lubricating machinery, changing fluids, and testing equipment to prevent failures before happens.
• Communicate with wastewater management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems

Qualifications

• Climbing, including ladders, lifting, working with a variety of hand and power tools, shop machines, and tools.
• Minimum 1‑2 years industrial maintenance experience
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
• General mathematics ability required to perform job
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
• Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and/or below freezing temperatures
• Previous maintenance experience with (Preferred)
