Job summary

La Mexicana is hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our tortilla and tortilla chip facility in Renton, WA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repairs of production equipment, with emphasis on conveyors, motors and electrical systems.

Bilingual English and Spanish are highly preferred to support collaboration with production teams; strong initiative, reliability and the ability to work calmly during breakdowns are valued.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Food or beverage manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Commercial bakery, tortilla, snack-food or packaging experience is especially valuable.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, sensors and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• PLC, VFD, oven, fryer, burner or packaging-equipment experience is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are highly preferred.

Bilingual Spanish and English are highly preferred but not required. Spanish will help this person work effectively with our production team. Enough English is needed to understand manuals, safety instructions, and work orders and to communicate across departments.
