5th HQ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in Davie, FL to support the maintenance and repair of industrial production and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, with hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

This full-time position requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and seamless collaboration with a team, on a night shift.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic/technician in a packaging or industrial environment (pharmaceutical experience preferred).
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and welding knowledge.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required for on-site interaction.
  • Must read and interpret diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor electrical duties including voltage checks, continuity checks, and replacement of electrical components.
  • Disassemble, repair, and replace malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and implement preventive maintenance on industrial production and processing machinery.
  • Maintain and document preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveyor belts, bearings, and electrical motors.
  • Assemble and reassemble machinery using hand tools and pneumatic power tools.
  • Order necessary parts and electrical components to keep equipment operational.
  • Interpret mechanical diagrams, blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies.

Job description

We are seeking an experiencedMaintenance Technicianto join our team and support the maintenance and repair of industrial production and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pharmaceutical or packaging machinery. This role requires someone who is proactive, resourceful, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.MUST BE BILINGUAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH.

Location:Davie, FL
Schedule:Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 5:45 AM (Overnight Shift)
Salary: $30.24 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding systems.
  • Hands-on experience with A/DC motors, PLC electronic systems, and machinery installations.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Forklift operation experience required.
  • Experience repairing industrial pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Must be highly resourceful, responsible, and hardworking with the ability to work independently.
