Position Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing food processing and packaging equipment to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimize production downtime. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems, along with the ability to work safely in a food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Install, adjust, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and repair documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work area
• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and Safety teams to support daily operations
• Follow all GMP, OSHA, Food Safety, and company safety regulations
• Recommend equipment improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and conveyor systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience completing preventive maintenance programs and work orders
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required
• Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, and food safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment emergencies
• Willingness to work overtime or flexible schedules as needed
