Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join its manufacturing maintenance team. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics, with the ability to read schematics and work across multiple facilities. This position requires flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Mechanical Knowledge, Preventive Maintenance, Welding, Electrical Systems, Pneumatics, Machinery Maintenance, and Hydraulics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical diagrams.
  • Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items and working in confined spaces.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or licensure may be required.
  • Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and workplace policies.
  • Availability for shift work, including nights and weekends, and on-call duty as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and facilities operate efficiently.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and consult manuals and blueprints to correct them.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand/power tools and reassemble equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to maintain building systems and equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and testing devices for maintenance tasks.
  • Install or repair wiring, piping, or electrical components as needed.
  • Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, and filters; follow checklists for maintenance.
  • Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, or schematics.
  • Maintain and repair specialized equipment in kitchens, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, and factories.

Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our complex machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our team, using their extensive knowledge to minimize downtime and contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
6. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
7. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
8. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
9. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
10. Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in kitchens, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, and factories.
