Job summary

Cascades in Piscataway, NJ, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair corrugating and converting equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and work with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability.

Requires a minimum of 3 years as a Millwright/Mechanic, ability to read manuals and schematics, and knowledge of drives, motors, and basic electricity; PLC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Millwright/Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of mechanical drive systems and motors.
• Basic electrical knowledge and familiarity with PLCs is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on corrugating and converting equipment including corrugators, flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and related machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure reliability of machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of machinery as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright/ Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of mechanical drive, understand basic electricity, including motors, drives, and some knowledge of plc.

Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and hydraulic, hydraulic, pneumatic system is an asset.

Knowledge of predictive e and preventive maintenance practices
