Job summary

Cascades Lancaster plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, read blueprints, and document activities in CMMS.

The role requires 3+ years of industrial maintenance in manufacturing, knowledge of PLCs and motor controls, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical training or certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Conduct equipment inspections and complete repairs, adjustments, and upgrades.
• Maintain plant utilities including boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and lift trucks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Document maintenance activities using a CMMS and follow Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

What you’ll do

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape.

Your day-to-day:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

Conduct equipment inspections and complete repairs, adjustments, and upgrades.

Maintain plant utilities including boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and lift trucks.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Document maintenance activities using a CMMS.Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Your strengths as a Maintenance Technician

You are a natural fit for this role if:

High school diploma or GED.

Technical training or certification is an asset.

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and VFDs is preferred.

Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
