Job summary

Employnet, Inc. in Oxnard, CA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, overhaul, adjust, repair and maintain equipment in a food processing environment.

Under direct supervision, you will execute preventive maintenance, close work orders, and report issues to ensure safe, reliable operation. You will conduct daily safety inspections, follow PPE rules, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Experience in food processing environment is a plus.
• Strong time management, prioritization and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete maintenance docs; good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• English required; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, repair and maintain equipment under direct supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
• Close maintenance work orders accurately and in required timeframes.
• Conduct safety and pre-operational inspections; report issues or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain stocked maintenance inventory and ensure parts availability.
• Attend safety meetings and training; follow policies and maintain attendance.
• Other duties including transfer to other groups or changes in shift times.

Job description

Looking for an experience Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Under direct supervision, the Mechanic will perform work in the diagnostic, overhaul, adjustment, repair and maintenance of equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain reliability.
• Execute and close assigned maintenance work orders accurately and within required timeframes.
• Conduct daily safety/pre-operational inspections and immediately report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or acts.
• Follow all safety rules, use required PPE, and comply with company, regulatory, food safety, GMP, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Ensure necessary spare parts and maintenance inventory are properly stocked, replenished, and available when needed.
• Attend required training and safety meetings, follow company policies, maintain reliable attendance, and support other teams as needed.
• Other duties as assigned including getting moved to another group or work team and shift starting time.

Qualifications

• Food Processing experience a plus.
• Strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also performing effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• English required; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull 50-80 lbs.
• Repetitive bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

SCHEDULE:

• 1pm to 10pm rotation scheduled day off
