Job summary

Employnet, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance and Repair Mechanic in Oxnard, CA to support facilities preventative maintenance and repair production equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication skills, is comfortable with power tools, understands electrical and mechanical systems, and can lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with maintenance of production equipment and facilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and production equipment.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and conduit work.
• Operate ladders and boom lifts for elevated work as needed.
• Work overtime when production requires.

Job description

Employnet is looking for an experienced Maintenance and repair mechanic. Job duties include assisting with facilities related preventative maintenance and repairs, performing preventative maintenance and repairing production equipment/machinery.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Basic hand toolsFabrication experience (welding, machining, metal fabrication, and/or wood shop)
• The ability to work with power tools
• CA Driver’s License
• The ability to climb ladders, crouch, kneel, lift up to 50LBS, and stand/be on foot for long periods of time
• A strong understanding of mechanical systems, such as: electrical motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, air compressors; in an industrial setting
• The ability to do moderate plumbing, HVAC, drywall install/repairs, painting, and EMT conduit
• A working understanding 120v/240v single phase electrical service
• A working understanding of 208/240/480 3 phase electrical service
• An understanding of electrical components (fuses, sensors, relays, limit switches, etc…) and how to diagnose issues with a multimeter
• The ability to perform elevated work (ladder and boom lift)
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal - BILINGUAL A PLUS
• Strong troubleshooting/diagnostic skills across a large variety of types of equipment
• The ability to work overtime/outside of production hours as needed

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D minimum

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:45AM-4:15PM with occasional overtime after hours, or Friday-Sunday, dependent on production needs. Must pass drug screen and background check.
