Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Ontario bakery team. This full-time role supports high-speed production on a third shift (10 PM–6:30 AM) in a food manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, ensuring GMP compliance and safe operation. The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience, a High School diploma, and hands-on mechanical and electrical skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with GMP/HACCP and allergen control is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair high-speed bakery equipment to support uninterrupted production cycles.
• Ensure all work areas and tools are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitary standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections and troubleshoot emergency equipment issues.
• Accurately complete maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation.
• Strictly follow GMP, HACCP, and allergen control procedures.
• Stay current with bakery processes, including fermentation systems and automated bun production lines.
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment concerns and safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Reliability: Maintain and repair high-speed bakery equipment to support uninterrupted production cycles.
• Sanitation & Safety: Ensure all work areas and tools remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitary standards.
• Inspections: Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections and provide prompt troubleshooting for emergency equipment issues.
• Documentation: Accurately complete maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation.
• Compliance: Strictly follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and allergen control procedures.
• System Knowledge: Stay current with specialized bakery processes, including fermentation systems and automated bun production lines.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment concerns and safety hazards efficiently.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
