Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our 2nd shift to maintain production and facility equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency in our food manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and safeguard safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in general maintenance or related responsibilities.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify equipment failures and maintenance needs.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and perform basic repair work.

About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our [Location] bakery. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be accountable for maintaining the reliability and performance of production and facility equipment through installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities. This role is vital to minimizing downtime, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Hours: 12:45 PM – 9:15 PM

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $29.00 - $32.00

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Install, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support operational reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Set up, start up, and shut down manufacturing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment condition and communicate maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
• Support compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, allergen, and food defense requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational documentation.
• Promote a safe work environment through adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in general maintenance or related maintenance responsibilities.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify equipment failures, malfunctions, and maintenance needs.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and perform basic repair work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, or climb for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Formal training in mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic welding experience.
• Experience working with food manufacturing or food processing equipment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and quality system requirements.
