Description

Install, maintain, and repair furnaces, equipment, and buildings according to diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications. Utilize knowledge of electrical equipment, piping, and welding. Install and troubleshoot electrical systems and electronic equipment in buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, piping, refrigeration, and chemical systems on equipment and buildings.
2. Read and log meters on equipment.
3. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and document operations on meters, gauges, recorders, filters, belts, grease fittings, oil levels, thermocouples, furnace internals, safety devices, etc., to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
4. Use forklifts, hoists, and other equipment to install and move equipment and systems.
5. Fabricate tanks, fixtures, conveyors, furnaces, and other equipment using welding equipment, blueprints, and schematics.
6. Lay out and install piping systems with appropriate tools and techniques.
7. Transport and store fabrication materials using forklifts, hoists, and hand trucks.
8. Install, repair, and replace fire bricks.
9. Assist in moving office furniture and supplies as needed.
10. Travel for job-related meetings, training, and conventions, which may include overnight stays.

Qualifications

Knowledge:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, pipe fitting, instrumentation, temperature control devices, and welding.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
