The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial machinery and facility systems to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

The position offers a direct hire full-time opportunity with pay between $23 and $25 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, boilers, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Welding and cutting experience preferred.
• Basic plumbing and HVAC knowledge is a plus.
• Forklift operating experience preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems.
• Perform equipment start-ups, shut-downs, and routine inspections for safe and efficient operation.
• Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), document work, and identify potential issues before downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues independently.
• Operate and monitor boilers and related equipment for safe performance.
• Assist with plant maintenance operations, upgrades, and maintenance programs.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs as needed.
• Perform basic plumbing and HVAC maintenance when required.
• Coordinate with outside contractors during installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per OSHA.

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large industrial textile processing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial machinery and facility systems to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

Pay: $23 - $25 DOE
Shift: 8-hour shifts starting at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM, depending on production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems.
• Perform equipment start-ups, shut-downs, and routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Complete preventive maintenance (PMs), document completed work, and identify potential issues before they cause equipment downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues independently.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, handling tools, and performing repairs.
• Ability to occasionally climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and work in confined or awkward positions.
• Ability to occasionally lift 80+ pounds.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and potentially hazardous substances while following all required safety procedures.
• Must be available to work an 8-hour shift beginning at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM, based on production requirements.
